About us

Flight Experience™ was the original flight simulator business to ‘open the cockpit to the world’. We are the world leader in flight simulation entertainment. Our simulators are built to an extremely high standard using the latest technology in both hardware and software and in fact are used by flight schools, universities and airlines for actual pilot training. They are approved by many aviation regulatory authorities around the world.

Head Office for Flight Experience™ is based in Christchurch, New Zealand. Although each Flight Experience™ is individually owned and operated, the head office is responsible for all aspects of the operation including manufacturing, maintenance, technical support, sales and marketing, recruitment, training and business development.

Flight Experience™ has 16 locations in a dozen countries and several more are already planned for this year. Store locations include five in Australia, Christchurch, China, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuwait, Paris, London, Marbella, Boston…

Flight Experience™ is approved as a Boeing ‘Officially Licensed Product’ and we have flown around 200,000 satisfied clients. We offer a professional service combined with an exciting experience that is not easily forgotten.

  • The Experience

The moment your experience starts you’re treated like the Captain; from the ‘retro’ boarding pass and the captain’s hat right through to the real aircraft checklists and talking to Air Traffic Control, you will experience exactly what it’s like to fly a jet airliner.

  • The Simulator

The simulator is based on the Boeing 737NG. It is designed specifically as an entry level training device with capability for use as a public experience simulator. It provides a superb environment that replicates a modern twin jet environment.

  • The Boeing 737 series

The Boeing 737 Series is the biggest selling jet airliner ever built. The aircraft size, configuration, economy, range and reliability have made the series a favourite with airlines around the world. Since the 737 was launched in the 1960s with the 737-100, more than 12,700 orders have been placed.

Captain Peter Chin

Peter had a passion for flying from a very young age and by the time he was 18 he was already licensed to fly. He became a flying instructor in the early ‘80s and taught students to fly in both the United Kingdom and Australia.

He acquired his dream job in 1988 when he joined Qantas as a Second Officer on the “Queen of the Skies”, the Boeing 747 classic. Then later he moved to the Boeing 767 and B747-400.

Peter made the decision to leave Qantas in 2000 and joined Emirates Airlines on the Boeing 777. He was immediately promoted to Captain and during his time at Qantas and Emirates has flown to over 145 global destinations.

With more than 18,000 flying hours during his 30-year airline career, Peter has settled back in Perth and wants to share his wealth of experience with the general public to show them what it was like on the flight deck. He is also helping younger aspiring pilots to follow in his footsteps to reach their dreams of becoming an airline pilot.
